PHILIPPINES:
"VISUAL COLOMBIA: A GRAPHIC EXPERIENCE" at the Ateneo de Manila University.

AOISA members in the Philippines lectured in one of the most important universities of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University. This time about Colombian culture and graphics. The following are the comments as posted in the official web page of the said University.

*"Last 29 July 2011,  students of FLC Spanish watched a presentation about Colombia sponsored by the AOISA (Alpha and Omega International Student & Professsional Association, an organization working for the promotion of world peace) in cooperation with the Department of  Modern Languages  of the School of Humanities...

As a starter, Mr. Miguel Jurado, Colombian representative from AOISA, gave an overview of Colombia’s history, people and culture and then elaborated on the young artists’ modern design, illustration and animation which are deeply rooted on the ancient art of the Incas, the Quisllasingas, the Taironas, Tumacos, etc.

The colorful and metaphorical graphic presentation complimented by the lively indigenous music played by  Miguel’s sister, Ms. Alejandra Jurado, a charming pianist exemplar,  was truly an impressive and exhilarating experience.
